Dr. Lam has been my dentist for about 8 years now. I'm one of those unfortunates who has spent a fortune on dental work as I'm cursed with horribly soft and delicate teeth and do not have a dental plan. So I've had quite a few dentists in my life - some good, some okay (no real bad ones). But Dr. Lam's perfectionism, calm manner and genuine compassion for his patients is a remarkable thing. No dentist is perfect and never makes a mistake; but the two times I've had any issue with his work (out of dozens of procedures), Dr. Lam has repaired or re-done it without charge. In fact, one time HE noticed a minor problem with a filling and fixed it for free on a routine exam.

He also takes time to explain a procedure to you and presents all options to you if there are any. He's a wonderful dentist and worth travelling for.

The only negative thing I can say is that I wish he'd upgrade some of his equipment - in particular I wish he'd move to a digital xray system. Lower power (so safer) and the results are instantly available; not to mention that they're much "greener" (no nasty chemicals).
